Job Description

Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of diverse structured cabling systems, encompassing both general enterprise and building infrastructure projects, as well as specialized mission-critical data center environments. This role oversees the planning, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure, including associated overhead conveyance systems, pathways, and support structures, to support various networking and power systems. The Project Manager ensures all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications, while maintaining the highest levels of reliability and uptime critical to all infrastructure, particularly data center operations. This position involves comprehensive project management from initiation to completion, emphasizing client satisfaction and partnership development.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in structured cabling and/or low voltage systems, encompassing both general infrastructure and specialized data center projects.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, fast-track projects in live or greenfield data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling standards: ANSI/TIA-568, TIA-606, BICSI.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes (IST, FAT, and SAT) (preferred).
  • Manage field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring all work is performed according to industry codes (TIA/EIA, BICSI), safety regulations, and specific data center protocols where applicable.
  • Manage day-to-day project site activities for various structured cabling and infrastructure installations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, Lead client-facing meetings, progress reports, and quality control inspections, fostering a strong rapport to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for ongoing partnership and business growth.
