Job Description

: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NC Programmer to play a critical role in our manufacturing process. As an NC Programmer at RISE Armament, you will be responsible for not only creating and optimizing CNC programs but also leading production validation efforts and establishing robust manufacturing processes. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production, consistent quality, and the successful implementation of new components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve CNC programs for a variety of machining production operations
• Lead production validation testing for new parts and processes, including first article inspections
• Establish and document setup procedures for new components to ensure consistent production
• Create detailed setup documentation and work instructions for machine operators
• Perform tool selection, toolpath optimization, and cutting parameter calculations to maximize efficiency and precision
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing cutting programs based on production feedback and performance metrics
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to understand project requirements and design optimal machining processes
• Develop and implement tooling strategies for both new and existing parts

Production Support:

• Provide technical support to shop floor personnel during setups and production runs
• Train and mentor operators on new setups, procedures, and best practices
• Work closely with quality department to ensure all validation requirements are met
• Support production troubleshooting and implement corrective actions as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an NC Programmer in a manufacturing environment working with 3- & 4-axis milling, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in CNC programming languages (G-code) and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and cutting parameters
• Strong proficiency in CNC machine setups and proven ability to optimize cycle times
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment
