LHH is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations of the production team, including supervisors, Steam Operators, and administrative support staff. This role ensures efficient production in compliance with GMP, leading to the creation of safe, high-quality finished products for The position is responsible for team training, production scheduling, equipment management, and safety enforcement.
Duties:
• Develop and manage the daily production schedule, ensuring accuracy of job numbers, packaging, and ingredient requirements.
• Monitor and communicate production progress and delays, proposing solutions for process inefficiencies.
• Post daily job priority lists and special instructions for shifts.
• Ensure performance expectations are met and operators are trained on efficient production techniques.
• Coordinate with the Steam department for material processing and schedule compliance.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols in all production activities.
• Oversee the unloading of products and coordinate with the Production Coordinator for material handling and shipping.
• Maintain consistent communication with Quality Control and other teams to ensure high product quality.
• Develop production schedules based on demand, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Provide month-end projections and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain inventory and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Crosstrain teams on all equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Attend safety meetings and continuously train teams on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in production management, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and improve operational processes to maximize efficiency.
