Ragle, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team in Texas. This pivotal role involves overseeing the implementation and control of projects, providing training on Procore, and managing project documentation to ensure smooth operations across the state.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Review: Utilize strong analytical skills to review all project controls information, ensuring accuracy and identifying issues, concerns, and potential mitigations.
  • Cost and Schedule Management: Monitor and identify trends in cost and schedule, manage the change management process, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Ensure effective coordination between project controls team members and operations and contracts teams, maintaining adherence to project scope, safety, and quality standards.
  • Process Development: Design, document, and continuously improve project control procedures and workflows to increase efficiency, accountability, and performance across all project teams.
  • System Implementation: Oversee the implementation of project systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure the full implementation of company processes and industry best practices in project controls.
  • Risk Management: Establish and manage a risk management protocol, documenting and tracking potential risks and assessing their impact on cost and schedule.
  • Progress Reporting: Ensure the accuracy of reported progress, based on established rules of credit, and develop a progress measurement process for required scopes of work.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Manage and ensure timely submission of all project reports as per the approved schedule.
  • Procore Training: Conduct training sessions for the project management team on Procore software and liaise with Procore technical support for any issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in project meetings, interacting with the Project Management team to gather necessary information, prepare reports, and deliver presentations as required.
  • Independent Leadership : Take full ownership of the project controls function, demonstrating initiative in driving improvements, anticipating project needs, and executing strategies independently with minimal oversight.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing project controls team; define clear roles and responsibilities, set expectations, and evaluate performance to promote continuous growth.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize and facilitate bi-weekly meetings and quarterly audits with the project management teams.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management within the heavy civil sector.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Procore software.
  • Proven leadership and strong management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Solid understanding of accounting functions and systems.
  • Experience in cost control, including project estimating, forecasting, and cost management reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Procore and best practices in heavy civil project planning.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
