Technical Product Manager

Manhattan, New York

5 days in the Office

Up to $200k + wider package

This is a series A start up that is focused on building powerful, intuitive software that helps companies automate accounting workflows, integrate financial systems, and make better business decisions in with accounting space.

The Role:

A Technical Product Manager that will lead the development of core platform features, data infrastructure, and third-party integrations. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders across the company to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions.

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for core platform services and APIs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to scope technical initiatives, assess feasibility, and plan sprints.
  • Own the full product lifecycle — from ideation to launch and iteration — for technical features and backend systems.
  • Translate business and user requirements into detailed specs and technical documentation.
  • Prioritize feature requests, bugs, and tech debt in collaboration with engineering leads.
  • Ensure smooth integration with third-party accounting tools, banks, and ERPs.
  • Monitor product performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize accordingly.
  • Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • 2-8 years of experience in product management, with at least 1+ in a technical or platform PM role.
  • You have worked in start-ups previously as a product manager.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize across multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable reading technical documentation, writing specs, and facilitating technical discussions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
